Closure due to ‘internet and technical difficulties’: LifeLabs customer service representative
A resident who discovered the company’s Cobourg location was closed during regular business hours on Feb. 4 contacted Northumberland News to find out the reason behind the closure.
Although a message seeking information was sent to the company’s media relations department, no response was received by press time.
A LifeLabs customer service representative who answered the phone in Cobourg said the Cobourg location, which would typically be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., “is not available right now.”
“...it will be closed today and most likely tomorrow,” the rep said. “They are just having some issues with the Internet and technical difficulties in the area, so it is just a temporary closure for now.”
A sign posted beside the front door said the site will be closed until further notice, with the nearest locations that are open in Trenton, Bowmanville, Peterborough and Lindsay.
LifeLabs, a Canadian-owned company, performs more than 112 million laboratory tests to help diagnose, treat, monitor and prevent disease.
